I know, everyone likes October. However, I think my love for October and fall time in general is unique from just appreciating a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Fall brings cold weather, and I love the cold (to a point). I love snuggling up inside with a warm beverage (preferably tea) and reading a real, physical book. The library here in Minnesota is a beautiful old building that has dusty bookshelves and long, black rimmed windows, perfect for hiding in the corner and reading (while avoiding social contact at all cost). Currently I am immersed in two amazing novels; Lolita and A Thousand Splendid Suns. Lolita focuses on a pedophile and A Thousand Splendid Suns focuses on conflict in Afghanistan. Not the most uplifting reads, but so worth it. I highly recommend both books.
Fall also allows for me to wear giant scarves that make neck movement virtually impossible. I have a tendency to bundle up unnecessarily, and it is even more prevalent since I have moved to Minnesota. It is 40 degrees here and people walk around in tank tops. I'm sorry, but I have the cold tolerance of a reptile and need to be kept warm. Scarves, hats, and gloves have already been utilized multiple times. Huge, over-sized hats are my favorite thing to wear to keep my head warm, and to look mildly presentable. I got mine at Urban Outfitters, they have tons of cozy winter accessories that are adorable and actually keep you warm.
